    Fiberglass?

So not much luck on locating an OEM hood. Instead of 1100, was thinking a Duraflex for about 600 plus prep n paint either way. question is, what's the downside to fiberglass in regards to wear/durability, and even value of the car? It's not an investment, my DD, more concerned with color match and durability.

I ran a quick search for you on www.car-part.com, and found a used hood close to you at Stockton Auto Dismantlers. They want $945 but if it's the color you want and in good condition it's a good deal.

I'll have to check, I just searched Friday and closest to me was SoCal. Thanks I'll check with them tomorrow, but really for another 150, might as well get from the dealer. Unless it is my color.

Actually they state it's new, gotta call tomorrow.

Rear ended a truck just enough to create a about a 10" crease straight across where the badge sits. Plus it already had a few warps.

945$ for a hood from the wrecker? Wow.

I can buy a parts car for that.

I don't know of any glass hoods that fit worth two shits out of the box. Any funds saved on the part will go to the shop for corrections and fitment. Just say'n

Yep, no inexpensive solutions here. The best I could find was from bemmerbreaker here on the board. Last I saw he had a good hood in black. I would up taking mine off and taking a short vacation to Tuscon where I picked up the replacement.

There's one on FrankenCoupe. If there were any issues with cracks or splits, it would have shown up on Frank. Fit sucks but the 50/50 rule applies. 50ft and 50MPH, looks fine.

Can anyone attest first-hand to the quality/durability/fitment?
