What are you guys using to adapt the LS1 Hyd Slave Cyl/Throw-out Bearing to the BMW line?
thanks
Vorshlag makes an adapter with bleed line.
McLeod Industries 139026 (search on summit racing) that will adapt your gm slave to -4, then you'll need a -4 adapter to the bmw side....I believe its an m8 inverted flare, I forget.
Speedway sells a nice set of fluid lines for the clutch that hook-up to the GM factory quick-connects

Excellent call. After having issues with the stock master, I switched to a Tilton 7/8" unit, and run a braided line from Speedway (48") to the slave and like you said it has the GM quick connect. While on the topic, I'd also highly recommend a remote bleeder that will allow you to bleed the clutch without getting underneath the car...big timesaver.

FYI Russell also makes an adapter in -3 and you get 2 for half the price as the Mcleod adapter.

I ended up just getting the speedway 22" fbody clutch line (its -4) and got a russels 3/8" x 28 invetered flare to -4 adapter from summit, then got a m10 bubble flare to 3/8" x 28 inverted flare adapter, I'll post the stuff up on my build thread soon
This is what i did:
On the left(in red) is a adapter from summitracing, part number AER-FBM2937. You hook your -4 LS1 F-Body clutch line to this. In the middle is a brake line adapter, it is basicly a brake line with a 3/16 flare fitting on one side and a m10 bubble flare on the other. I got this from Autozone, sku# 568318. On the right(in white) is a M10 bubble plare union to connect to the stock BMW hyd clutch line. This was also from Autozone, sku# 845271

I use a centerforce 12" clutch and fidanza 12.5lb flywheel. My issues were with the clutch not fully disengaging at high rpms. This is very common in the LSx world (with any clutch setup), just look at all the adjustable MC's and slave cyl shims on the market.
I tried shimming the slave first, which helped a bit...but the Tilton was the true fix to the issue

+1 on the remote bleeder. I use a stock BMW master cylinder and have not had any problems.

Are you guys just using the standard OEM slave cylinder and getting a remote bleeder for it?
^ Thats what I did
Stock replacement slave cylinder - mine is shimmed .125, which is what a lot of people do with a LS7 clutch.

Good info in this thread.
With a C5 corvette clutch and lightweight flywheel, would there be a reason for a shim? I take it the reason for the shim is like JoeZ said, problems disengaging the clutch at high engine speed?
