This is one of the few coupes I would consider trading across for, and I hate estoril Blue. All the Japaneese flair really makes the color much more attractive to me. Again, Love the JDM stuff. Very reminescent of a 510 that was recently built.
Have you done seats, or other interior stuff. These brides would finish it off nicely.
Your coupe looks like that 510 as if it were blown up by some crazy germans. Dope ride, and keep up the personalized design, its working for you.
Ironically, I was day dreaming of putting porsche 997 GT2 seats in my 510Of course I would get the same reaction you are getting now from some of the forum members. Putting GDM into a JDM ride would really ruffle some feathers on a jap forum.

Great build...I just still don't get the point of running a ricer exhaust..Your build quality is by far one of the best ive seen but for you to use such a hideous exhaust kinda reduces the build quality. It makes it look cheap
..But its your car so you can do what you want...Good luck

Bravo!! I do like the exhaust more that the whole section is cut-out. BTW, what did you use to cut the bumper?? BUT, when you get time please make a custom rear diffuser or something.
This is my signature....
The look of cheap is all in the eyes of the beholder. He crossed your line long ago with the Jap sourced Work Miesters, and if you don't know what they are you are really not qualified to comment.
It is different, it is a bit controversial, but if you know your stuff, it doesn't look cheap. "riceier" things happen much more often around here with german parts. BTW, good looking e46 in the sig.

Looks great to me. Do what the @#$# makes you happy. The peanut gallery will always have something to say.....eff them...
Nelson Mandela borrowed this from Marianne Wilson in his 1994 inaugural speech - "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am i to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. You were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within you. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Dude, the car is A+. I want to see the dyno numbers when she wakes up.
The only thing I can say i would change.... I would polish the intercooler end tanks as to kinda match the kidneys.... otherwise i love it... exhaust and all!
I hope that wasn't a dis on Honda? I remember certain blown 1.5 ltr F1 engines making something in the realm of 1800HP iin Qual trim back in the 80's Turbo era....
Love the build, one of the best Clown Shoes ever...looking forward to your reactions when you get to drive it!

I respect your strong opinion, but I don't think the build quality has been compromised because you think the exhaust is rice. The muffler happens to be made by HKS ( an extremely reputable Jap tuner since before I was born probably). THe quality of the muffler is second to none, the welds are immaculate, it's got a SS canister with a real CF overlay and a real titanium tip. So your accusation leaves me a bit
Thanks. We used a buzz saw and a da to sand the edges smooth. Then we used a flat head screw driver to file it one last time. When I get them money Im going to do something special to the rear, trust me.
Thank you sir. Well stated.
Thanks. You and I would get along just fine
Thank you![]()
No dissin Honda's here. My 2nd, 3rd and 4th cars were 2 accords and then a bb6 prelude. I love Honda's until the day I die. I was just being an ass in response to the comment about the coupe looking like a civic hb. I have a dc2 integra with a jdm B18c that I want to boost.

I don't know anything about JDM stuff, but what looks good looks good, and those rims are off the charts!
I like that OP put that exhaust on to be different as much as for the JDM look.
BTW, jonesmechanical, you might have the cleanest custom builds on the forum.

Sick car. I for one don't mind the exhaust. It is unique, and it looks very purposeful.

I haven't been around for a while and just caught up on this thread. I love this build more than any other. It has everything: quality, aesthetics, attention to detail, function and above all it uses Nick G. software setup with the stock DME for tuning.
I personally love originality so I dig the exhaust. Especially now that the bumper has been cut. The finned diff cover is uber pimp as well so the cut really shows it off also. I had this exact HKS Carbon Ti tip on my Supra.
I can't wait to see the results!

I dont think the ricer can is very ddm, but I think its kinda cool in its own way, being different and all. Thumbs up for having the balls to do it!
The work going on here is top notch! That car is Very hot!
yeah, Sarasota sucks as far as night life and young folks go. but you have options when it comes to getting your ride worked on. while Fifteen52's realm of expertise has historically been Audi/VW, they are now quite capable of doing anything to any car, and are not limited to Euro's only.
also, if you're looking to twin turbo your Lamborghini, Ford GT, Viper, etc., Heffner Performance is local as well. as a matter of fact, i work less than a mile away from them, so occasionally i see tearing up the asphalt on U.S. 301 testing their creations.

Nice! Actually, now that i know there are local guys, i feel 100% more confident in going forth with a turbo setup. I sent the guys from 1552 an email asking some questions about pricing and whatnot. im a ways away from needing m car tuned, but i like ot know my options before i get in over my head on something.
Can't wait for the end results. have been following the whole time on this one. I too like the exhaust. it is different and doesnt look out of place. the bumper cut and diff fin showing off is great! Bet you guys are going to tackle the man in brown when his truck shows up with that ecm. Bring that monster to life............
