Oil change, Thrust arms, remounted calipers, rethreaded every suspension bolt with loctite, killed a vacuum leak, replaced a window regulator, and touched up a few touchups. And then I washed it. Adjusted ride hight a bit lower. Time for an alignment haha. Very productive day.

I picked up an OE remanufactured Bosch alternator from parts geek for 450$. Remanufactured in Germany at Bosch. Great quality. I did the job 2 years ago and it's still going strong.

Used my new BMW Scanner 1.4 cable and old laptop to finally turn off that annoying "CHECK LOW BEAM" warning (the previous owner retrofitted HID lows).

Found a crack in one of my 17" M parallel 66 wheels rear drivers wheel and ordered a new set of four factory 66 wheels on eBay 850 for 4 staggered I figured they were all in Better shape than any of the current wheels on the Old D5 which is going to my Dinan guy to get to trans mounts driveshaft and flex disc installed tomorrow I guess now on this bald spare until
I get my new set of 66s in a week...

bought some brobets with blizzaks on them
the previous owner used them on his wife's e39 wagon so i know for certain they'll fit
front two are WS50s made back in 2004, too old, i'll need to replace them
rear two are WS60s from 2009 with like 5/32 tread, enough for a season

a tire calculator said the combo (16" wheel, 255/50 tire) would be 689mm in total diameter....would that cause issues on a sport package wagon?

Dropped the D5 off with my Dinan folks instead of my regular BMW tech, because they have a driveshaft for my car laying around with 6k miles on it and are installing it, a flex disc, and transmission mounts for 700 out the door... I thought that was a win win for them and me, I get a factory BMW driveshaft that is like new condition for a great price and they get $700 to get rid of the part they pulled off a new car years ago and put it on mine... They also have from the same car a perfect quality black interior front and back seats with only 6000 miles on them as well and although mine has a gray interior the seats have 180,000 miles on them... I wonder what it would look like it's already semi two toned as it is black on gray considering the dash is black the glove box is gray and then the floor would be gray the doors would be gray but the seats would be black if I did that

well, 1700 is a very good price, so they might just want to save some time on labor

Painted my rear bumper tonight. 4 coats of base and 3 coats of clear.
Nice downdraft paint booth with a heated bake timer setting. Completely dry in 30 min.

Definitely doable. The other way is more complicated due to the driver seat not having the occupancy mat.
