I don't know why I didn't see this much earlier, but I made it to a track night with my E36 M3 couple months ago.
Did a 13.91 @ 102.2 best.

That was my second run. My 3rd run, when I finally lined up against my friends SC e36 M, my factory 17 year old diff bolt snapped and still ran a 14.1 Lol have that run on video >>>>> http://instagram.com/p/rvuGL6CZ7E/

Watch wideband and find a clean strip of highway. I got a real nice spot 1 mile from house that is great for 60-150 pulls. Only way to get on radar is by plane.

but isn't there more to it than just a safe AFR?. How do I know if the motor knocks or if the timing is too advanced?

We don't know for sure. I think his is a slightly newer version. Probably very similar. Mine was for a built 8.5:1 S52 running a PT67 turbo at 22-23 psi with no meth and making 625-650 rwhp. I think his is the ICS Stage 1 tune for an S52 with 0.140 MLS and closer to 9.0:1 CR and a GT4094R at 18 psi making no more than 600 rwhp.

I'm running a 8.9:1 compression anyways so I'm
Pretty close there. When I got the tune all I know is that it was supposedly putting down 550whp at 15psi with a gt35r. This was per George not NickG. Apparently it has "aggressive" timing to give the extra HP for 15psi. I've emailed Nick and Maxpsi about a retune with not much response. I ran 128.4 on a okay pass at below 16 psi so it's already making decent power? Do you guys agree?

Takes me 23psi on a smaller engine and smaller turbo to do that.

Correct. Also allows for 93, meth, and a second box for Q16 .

No, the 11.9 run was missing 3rd. This run I let off cause I got scared of the wall. I don't want to experience that again. No thank you.
