    Steering feckin wobble

    Alright folks,

Been doin a good bit of searchin and still aint been able 2 figure this one out. When im doing over 60-70mpb the car feels a bit unstable, almost as if its swaying from left to right. Also if im going over uneven road the steering wheels shakes violently with every bump i go over.

Was convinced it was only the control arm bushings so i stuck on some polyurethane ones and had the tracking done but its still very unstable and I still have a bit of horizontal play in my left wheel (from 3oclock to 9)

I was thinkin it might be the wheel bearing but from what im reading on here that should be vertical play (12oclock to 6)

Any help'd be great, cheers lads.

been doin a good bit more lookin into this and starting to think its my outer tie rods

seems to be a good bit of play in them. i can easily move the circled bit with my hand on each side of the car, one more so than the other

Let me guess.. Your new tires looks like an arrow in the middle .. something like the attached design ? What's your tyre type ?

I'm sure it is. I had the problem in two cars and both cases solved by replacing those crap tires.

Get rid of the back two tires and enjoy the road again.
