[QUOTE=Tochenzo;7217195]what's the proper way to put these flags on without getting air bubbles?[QUOTE]

Try an exacto knife or a pin and poke a tiny hole at an angle so you don't touch the paint underneath. Then use a squeegee (if Don didn't include it with the vinyl then go get one at a store that sells them) and spread the air out from all directions. The hole will disappear once flat. A hard plastic card may damage the vinyl or scratch it so if you do use this method then use a piece of paper on top so not to ruin the vinyl. Squeegees are usually a bit softer plastic for these applications, I guess you can try to find asimilar plastic around the house but asqeegee is your best bet.

It doesn't matter what kind of tranny you have. Just what you have done to the outside of your car and where you are trying to go with it.

Lets see some flags on alpine cars!!!

I really want to see that color changing flag on alpine.

and to the guy with the 318, seriously... take that m3 badge off. Its not for style and if thats why you got it then, well lol. Its a lie, just like some kid riding around in a v6 mustang wth a cobra emblem on it. I cant even imagine why you would WANT it on there let alone try to defend it.

The right way to install vinyl on any vehicle without getting air bubbles is to clean the surface with alcohol where you will be placeing the sticker, apply a little bit of soap and water using a spray bottle onto the vinyl and surface of the vehicle allowing you to be able to move the vinyl where ever you want without it sticking right away. When your happy with where it's placed take your squeegy and squeegy the vinyl to the car, this will squeeze all the soap and water from the bottom of the vinyl not allowing any air to get trapped under the sticker. Then wet the transfer tape let it sit for a couple of minutes to allow the vinyl to dry then peel the transfer tape off. Wetting the transfer tape helps it peel off really easy. Use only 2 to 3 drops of soap in the spray bottle, too much soap takes longer to dry.

How do you guys find the decals stand up during a carwash/hand wash etc? I'm having a hard time imagining the flag corners not curl under these conditions.

The pics however do infact contribute to a very good repuation of the product.

It is true you need to prep and clean the surface free from wax and other contaminants and I would not recommend alcohol on paint to anyone. I would receommend Dawn dish washing liquid though as it rids of any wax build up or other dirt and grease from your paint. I think you are confusing window tint application with vinyl application. Soap and water will defeat the adhesive's purpose on this type of vinyl and any contact with soap and water wil not make the vinyl stick.

I've worked for a sign company for 5 years I think I would know how to apply vinyl. Here is a pic of the flag I applyed on my car on a rainy day . (The technique I mentioned in the above post is for those of you who don't feel comfortable applying vinyl dry)
