*DIY French Lights

Well as my picture showed i have done my Fogs and High Beams "French" style like the Mercedes Benz have and i thought i'd share this with some of you.

Its quite simple to do and really looks nice.

First, Things you need are listed below

1. Painters Tape
2. News Paper
3. Glass Cleaner
4. Dry Micro fiber or Rag
5. Glass Paint
6. Patience
7. SUN

The paint i used


Well after you have all your supplies you need lets get started. Some people would be able to take out the headlights from the assembly, but i am just too damn lazy so all you need to do is mask off the area with painters tape and Newspaper just incase for overspray. Make sure the are is clean and dry before you paint....thats why i said glass cleaner and microfiber

1. Mask everything down with the painters tape and prep everything proper so that the paint will stick.

Once your done with that move on to the next step.

2. Spray in one direction so that it may come out a lot cleaner of a look. Let the first coat be really light, don't worry it will look better.

Wait about 5minutes between coats so that they can bake on there easier in the sun. Do this process about 4 Times so that you get a nice dark yellow like i have one mine

3. Let them sit for about 20minutes afterward's and pat yourself on the back for a nice job well done.

4. Enjoy what you did and now do your fogs you lazy mule

ALSO, If you don't like the way the paint came out on the fogs its easy to take off, wet sand with 320 and your good to go all over again.

A little OT but...
I see all these threads about painting lights and stuff, but what about lamin-x? How come no one has lamin-x smoked headlights, does it affect output?

no problem, and idk lamin-x from what i used them for just wasn't that great sticky and just ugh headache hah but idk try the yellow an it comes off easy as well
