light weight, aluminum sheet metal valve cover

    • Built using CNC equipment for high accuracy.
    • Heli-arc welded, inside and out, in high tolerance fixtures.
    • Platen surfaced for true gasket seal.

I will be having the M20 light weight, sheet metal valve cover in a week !
Then the M10 in a month for logo work is more
I hope to have the M20 aluminum oil pan in a month NOT SHURE ON COST YET COST $500.00

I may be interested in the M10 cover.

-10AN breather would be very nice as well as having a few options on breather fitting placement.

I would want to see the M20 cover first, especially details of mounting and baffle for the breather fitting.

$350 for something that saves minimal weight.

Sorry, but thats just crazy and $500 is down right insane.

My motivation has nothing to do with weight savings. I'm looking for a well designed, well baffled valve cover with a -10AN breather fitting that I can use to properly vent my engine into a catch can. I also want to be able to specify the location of the breather fitting so it works well in my engine compartment.

    This is one possible option.

as for a catch can, unless you are changing the crankcase or fuel injection system, the loss of vacuum can mean idle/stalling problems.

Angry i don't know what I was expecting E30 guys

some other fourm are like swimming in shark infested waters with pockets full of bloody steak. your best bet is to put on your flame suit, your actual plans and reasons for making it, and go from there. if you tough it out, you wont get crapped on. by making a post like that as a new member you are just asking to get crapped on.this is a good forum, but you are going to have to learn how to swim with the sharks.

In r3vL's defense you didn't ever show them a photo of what you are doing. If I had read that thread first I would have assumed you were trying to pass off a normal valve cover as a "special light weight sheet metal one" and charge $460 for it. In that case I would have given you shit too.

the picture doesnt match what is being sold. I probably would've taken the mickey too.

if you are serious about wanting to make some money making parts with your access to CNC and tig welding, maybe a more popular option would be to make strut braces? I think more people would be interested in high quality aluminum front and rear strut braces than sheetmetal valve covers.

or maybe oilpans for engines swapped to e21's where they normally have to be shortened (m50's have this problem i think, among others where the pan sits too low in e21's)
