To be fair, in your case the math did work out, there wasn't much for anyone to speak against it on your 2.5L.

FWIW, I'm working on testing a new fuel pump setup soon that will support almost 1000WHP on Ethanol on a single pump, be quiet, keep the fuel cool and draw very low amperage.

What are your thoughts on turbo lab of america? I've been wanting to get one of the ceramic DBB gt35r CHRA's they make. Have you already got your turbo back from them? P.S. Love your build man!

I have no experience with them. Have a buddy who had a very bad experience with them... sounds like OP has had good experiences.

I know they sold a guy here a 35r center section claiming it was genuine Garrett and then when it failed shortly after, he sent it to Garrett and they laughed and told him It was a china copy. Pretty s**tty...

I was looking at the magnafuel pump and the fuel lab pump, might switch to one of those for a big single pump.

Yea i think with the safe drop in compression and large IC/exhaust she should be able to make 600whp on 93 safely.

Thanks man, they have been good to me in the past, they have had my turbo for a few months but I'm not too upset as the season hasn't started yet for me.

Are you going to be running stock fuel lines for your new set up or upgrade?

Ohh ok. Yae mann I was considering stock fuel lines after seeing your dyno chart making 717whp with stock fuel lines. where's my goal is 700whp on e85. But as notorious vr said your set up was a 2.5 which gave you a over head. where's mines is a 3.2.

Did you run it down the strip on the 717whp tune? Trap speed?

Yae am definitely going with the 115lb I wasn't sure if I wanted to run stock lines. But the -8 feed and -6 return sounds good. If I do Decide to run 2 pumps what size do you rec.

Not a horrible choice, but they're loud, draw a lot of amps, and heat the fuel up for no reason when cruising.

The setup I'm talking about is a completely variable/programmable brushless pump setup. The pump and controllers are ready, right now just waiting on have a complete billet aluminum drop in tank setup to be made.

The fuel lab pumps are also variable speed but I don't remember what type of input they require to do that. I always thought we need a pump with a flow sensor on the return line so it will run the pump just enough to maintain like 50 lbs/hr of return flow.

My guess would be a pwm control perhaps?

Here are the instructions. Apparently they can be switched from low speed to high with a 5V input, which is probably the way I would do it with megasquirt. Or they can be speed controlled with a PMW signal if your ECU can be set up with a table to do so.

    http://fuelab.com/wp-content/uploads...structions.pdf

Also apparently they already invented the flow controlled system that i was suggesting. They make a regulator with a pressure transducer and restrictor to measure return flow and adjust pump speed automatically.

I think i would just run low/high with that.. tuning would be interesting for a Factory ecu...

But i think pwm would probably add unnecessary wear to the pump..

The motors in the fuel lab pumps are brushless so they are transistor controlled. I don't think they are actually turning the power on and off. Probably just shortening the time that the magnets are energized. I think thats how they do it on brushless cordless drills.

My understand of brushless is cursory but the way i understand it is the speed is controlled by the angle at which the magnetic field is applied..

Regardless i feel like pulsing the power constantly would wear the motor, but perhaps i am wrong
