In no rush to purchase, but I'd like a set of straight and true OEM Roadstars to refinish. I'm looking to pick these up as inexpensively as possible, but I do not want any cracks/bends/damage.

Just out of curiosity, what is the more modern functionality you seek? I only ask because once you pair a GROM Bluetooth interface with the CD43, is has everything you could want in terms of phone integration, car kit, auxiliary, etc.

I thought the GROM interface seemed a little clunky but I probably didn't research it enough to be honest. I am very happy with the hd radio and USB functions of my new kenwood. Though of course it doesn't quite fit in perfectly.

To me personally, keeping things looking original is alright, but making modifications to suit your own taste is more enjoyable. Unless you plan to sell in the short term, why not make any changes you wish?!
