    UPDATE 6/3/13
    --------------------------
Well...I was finally able to get back to the car. It is nice to be putting things back on so here is the latest.
    1. Replaced the Aux water pump and valves with new hoses
    2. Ran the transmission lines back up to the radiator area
    3. Dropped the transmission pan, cleaned everything and replaced the filter and gasket, and replaced the pan
    4. Ran the Pentosin lines, replaced the cleaned and polished ASC+T filter
    5. Placed the Power steering pump and pressure lines
    6. Placed new belt tensioners and pulleys along with replated and painted brackets
    7. Placed the Alternator and wires
    8. Placed the cleaned and powdercoated Pentosin canister and pressure lines, placed new filter
    9. Placed the polished Oil filter housing, and reconnected the lines with new "O" rings
    10. Replaced the distributor housings, with new cam seals, gaskets, and rotors
    11. Re-routed the second alternator cable (I think I had it wrong when I first placed it)
    12. Placed the polished heat shields on both sides with new copper nuts
    13. Placed the repainted housing and alternator cable
    14. Placed the refinished intake manifolds (that bottom nut on #11 is a %$#@$^&*&%^!)

    Here are some updated pictures:

Aux water pump and valves with new hoses

ASC+T hoses, bracket and belt tensioner

    ASC+T filter and bracket:

    ASC+T filter in place

    Pressure hoses in place

Alternator in place with new tensioner and pulley, with replated parts

Cam housings, with new seals and gaskets, and new rotors

Roger, could you tell us a little about how you finished the intakes. Looks like the casting marks on the runners have been ground away and smoothed out. Did you do that, or was that the way Alpina did them? Thanks.

Actually, I did not do anything structure-wise to the intakes. I just refinished them. I do not remember any casting marks on them when I refinished them so maybe they were smoothed at Alpina.

The Yellow - Gold plating is Cadmium yellow - gold iridescent plating. It is very hard to find placed that actually cad plate anymore as it can be very toxic. I was actually thinking of yellow Zinc plating and had given up on cad plating the pieces, but stumbled across a company here in the area that does all sorts of plating and coatings for Disney World, the military, gun manufacturers and more. They have a full laboratory on site and re-heat treat everything to full military and grade specifications, which is included in the plating.

The ASC+T filter housing is actually solid brass, and just polishing it up can bring out the shine.

Time will tell...I will be in the San Diego area the week before on business, so we will have to see if I can work it out. If not,,,we will show up in some type of rental - but we will be there!!

    6/11/13 Update.
    ------------------
This past weekend I was able to accomplish a little more.
    1. Secured the Aux water pump with new rubber mounts - mine broke when I tightened them!!
    2. Replaced the Fuel Injectors with new Bosch units from Maxlumins (thanks Bill!)
    3. Place the fuel injector rails with new fuel hoses
    4. Place the refinished charcoal canister and emissions lines with new hoses
    5. Cleaned and hooked up the wire harness on top of the engine, connecting the fuel injectors and running the lines to the alternator and oil pressure sensor
    6. Place new alternator belt, a/c belt, and accessory alternator belt

Here are a few more pictures:

New Fuel Injectors and cleaned fuel rails:

Top of motor with fuel rails in place

Fuel Injection and top engine harness in place

Placed another call to Charlie at Gault for a few small items...seems like there is always something....more to come.
