hey guys I just bought a 79 baur 320/6 in very rough shape for a very good price. What should I do with it? I was thinking on pulling all the euro bits off of it and putting them on my federalized 323i and then parting the entire car. It has a couple rust spots, the cloth rear convertible top is falling apart but all the mechanicals of the top work perfectly. The solex carb was replaced with a holley downdraft. The car doesnt run. Can anyone get any info off the VIN other than the standard bmwz-1 stuff? Here is the VIN: 6627596

Pics were taken with my cell phone camera and it was getting dark so not the best quality

Preferably sell it to someone with the time and money to restore it.
It's an old one, the 118th build Baur.
Baurnumber: A70118-1 (A7 is the standard startnumber)
VIN: 6627596
Typ: 320/6
Roofcolour: Sonnenland black
Exterior: Polaris (grey)
Interior: Stoff black
Glass: not tinted
Sold new to: Mister Christmann, Worms Germany.
It's the 9th oldest E21 Baur known to the Baur registry.
If you could mail me some pictures, would be nice. JMJanssen1985@hotmail.com

He has a copy of the baur production records. and a great website to keep track of the ones that are known....
I would part the other euro you have and restore the baur. with only 4595 ever built they are rare and worthy of saving...
The Frozen Baur (AKA The Frozen Ground) now on Netflix (John Cussack is driving the Omega behind the Baur)
That's possible. The E21 Produktionlist isn't clear about that. Normally there stands "AH" in front of the name when it is a dealership.
But I just looked it up: it's the dealership. They sold about 20 E21 Baur.

Sorry cant pm you for some reason, maybe post count on your end. Anyways please email me at smsullivan@gmail.com and explain what you had in mind.
I don't know how this one got missed, but I don't see it listed in jeroen's original listing of Baur TC1s in the US. It appears that it has been overlooked.
Jeroen did comment in the thread:

So this appears to be yet another new Baur to add to our list!

UPDATE 1:15am:
I have just heard from the present owner of Baur #118, Mark R.
He does own the car, purchased from the owner who started this thread. The car is presently located in Scottsdale Arizona.
Stay tuned!

lol, Jan 09. Tom just wanted us Arizonans to shit themselves for a sec. thanks tom.
Happy to be of some service.
That was originally a post from 2009, but I was able to contact both sisith, the original poster, as well as the fella who bought it from him. Sisith was talking about parting it out, but I do believe that the car is now undergoing some restoration by the current owner in Scottsdale.
Doc John..... Are you out there reading this? There is another E21 Baur in town!
The Pics are coming! The Pics are coming!
