Haha I think at 20# from the sxe you may be at 500.

You can probably max that turbo out on stock rods though as long as yor don't knock.

I'm happy with my S257, but no idea what it'll do on a dyno so this will be interesting.

What hotside are you running? I ended up with an AGP .82A/R since that was the only way to use my existing T3 Rapidspool manifold.

Ported 1.00 twinscroll. I recommend twinscroll if you can make it possible. I've got a larger 1.12 as well but I don't think it would have a huge difference.

Alright... it was on a mustang dyno so cut me some slack. I'll update with photo tomorrow but it put down 503whp 488wtrq I'm happy with it but I was wanting 500 big torque club. I'll have to go to a dynojet!

Alrighty this pile of crap is still running somehow.... I beat on it way to hard trying to blow it up. With that said I'm looking for a boost controller. On a budget does anyone have input? Electronic or dual stage would be ideal. Thanks!

Bfc FI seems to be dead, so i'll update you with my awesomeness... first with a question though. To anyone that has been this far with an E36 any recommendations besides the normal steps of prepping for paint? Photos in no particular order enjoy!

Major updated goals / changes are 95' chassis, reienforced rear subframe / rtabs, refreshed rear end ball joints / bushes. Using a 63mm Borg warner turbskie, full aftermarket fuel delivery, rail / fpr. Possibly MsPNP if they ever release it for obd2 because 95' puts me in the safe zone. Hoping to touch 600whp without meth but can add it if needed. Schrick cams plus new trays too. (Old cams were badly scored), new paint, glad to finally get out of my black streak of cars. Refreshed engine, new steering links / rack, big flares, running 275/35/18 SQUARED.

Trying to wrap this up before June, car sits currently in first 3 photos spot. Also, for anyone wondering chassis is a 318is and no, I can't explain why I'm doing all this work to a four banger chassis. I don't have gobbs of money so I make up for it with time! All parts are out of my previous M3 that had been banged up by a guardrail pretty good.

Funny you ask haha, actually made it out of 2 engine hoists. Basically just the bottom frames I had lying around. Then the rest was just steel from a local junkyard. All the brackets to connect it are custom, none of it can be bought. Look up car rottiseries and copy their design. I've got about 250$ into this one. Just be careful how you attach it, even fully boned out this was slightly (sketchy). I used the rear bumper crash shocks for the back renforced with a steel plate, front is obvious and is quite easy.

That looks looks like a lot of work, but should be worth it in the end. What AR hot side housing did you go with? I think you will be the first Borg 63mm on the e36 platform, in for results!

I wish I could have started my build with a 92 318is chassis. It's the lightest of the breed. I did OK with a 93 325is for my base though. Build is looking really great. Which flares are those? They seem to fit pretty good and give lots of room.

Here are the flares, when I grabbed them they were not the "drift edition" and they use the same exact photos... Price went up around 80$ for some reason they were 110$ when I grabbed them. I was impressed with fitment too, the contours match up with the chassis pretty well. Wheel specs are 18x10 ET 30 with 20mm spacers with 275/35/18s and they clear so I can't be happier.

Best way to prep a chassis for paint is to strip everything out and send it off to get sand blasted then blow off all the left over media. That is what my friend did for his crazy 2JZ FRS build.

Thanks man. Here's mine with Hard Motorsports V1 flares, shimmed out from the body to make more room. 285/30-18 on 18 x 10.5, ET29 with no spacers in the back and 15mm spacers in the front. I'm going to 295/30-18 for autocross and doing a bit more spacing of the flares. Was hoping yours would have a bit more room. Looks like theyre about the same as mine in the shimmed state.

Nice, That looks SUPER meaty. I'm quite excited if that's the stance I'll be gunning for. I'm going for a paint match on the flares though, if you spaced these flares out I'd see no problem with fitting more tire.

Engine bay fully prepped and ready for base coat / clear coat. Probably going to rig up some kind of tent to keep the dust to a minimum, shop is slammed full of cars to important for this pile to go in. Anyone that knows the pain of grinding out ten thousand spot welds and brackets, I'm patting all of us on the back. Glad I'm on the easy part now. YZ250 for anyone that is concerned...excuse my wonderful cell phone pics.

By nickel and dime do you mean $50 and $100 or $500 and $1000?

Trying to tackle this project pretty quick, things are rolling now. Got my engine bay painted and cleared, turned out pretty well for a quickie. Prep work is all I can preach for painting, it seriously is lame. I'm going to try this style of heat shield / sound dampener. It applied well, happy with it so far. I'll also be installing a more heavy duty shield for where the turbo sits and exhaust runs. Just past the passeneger seat though.

I used that same tar backed foil. Works pretty good, but the tar kinda melts out of every seam over the years.

I see, should I use a second form of holding it onto the tunnel? I cut all the vallies with a blade and had a super clean surface before hand. I'd prefer not cleaning it up in a year or two. Also used a heat gun to help adheasion.

Ive had mine on for 2 years and no issues. All I did was clean the tunnel and stick it on. Looks just like yours.
