I got the plastic cap off to gain access to the inside of the door but can't see/find the rod that needs to be pushed to release the handle. HELP!!

I've watched 3 youtube videos and still can't find it.

There’s a good view of it at 3:00-3:05 in the video below. The problem is seeing it once you insert a tool.

It can be difficult to see if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. Find as many diagrams and photos as you can to get a real solid understanding of the mechanism.
Or, if you still need to do the window sliders, you can see better while the door cards are removed.
OK, got that figured out, thanks for that last video. Only problem now is that the new gasket seems to be a hair too small. I had to stretch is slightly to fit on the handle cover and it's not a great fit it seems. When I try to reinstall the cover, it won't sit flush. I got a pair of gaskets off of Amazon, chinese crap perhaps. I paid $15 for the pair. Maybe I need better quality ones?
I went with these chrome ones.

Fit perfect.
What is the part number for the gaskets alone? All I’ve ever seen is the plastic/gasket combination.

I ordered them off ECS Tuning. I called them about whether there's a right and left gasket as the ones I got from ebay were different. The rep said those might be NLA, but I ended up ordering 2 of the same items. Maybe they're redesigned without the hole for the lock cylinder. I'll know soon!
Maybe I'm confused about which gaskets you need. Were you able to order the gasket that is included in this part (right side)?

Or these gaskets?

I'm not able to find the gaskets from the first link by themselves on ECS, nor have I been able to find a part number for them on RealOEM. The gaskets in the second link are the same for both sides.

member "shogun" can help get you a set of gaskets for a good price
I purchased from Shogun as well, and it was a perfect fit and made very well.

Shogun replied to my gasket request promptly and shipped quickly. Well, as quickly as one could expect from Japan. I highly recommend him.

If only there was a forum member who could supply them.
Not sure which ones you had, but these are the ones I brought and installed a few weeks ago. They fit perfectly.

I successfully replaced these - but had a HELL of a time trying to pull/push that latch via the tiny hole in the door - a few F-bombs may have been dropped...

I reached out to shogun and will order a pair from Japan. The plastic ones on ebay are too thick and rigid; I'll get the rubber ones from shogun!
I got the gaskets from shogun today, they only took 2 weeks fromJapan and only $18 shipped. They are made of rubber and FAR superior than the junk I bought on ebay. They fit perfectly. One less thing on the list and the center caps came in yesterday; also ebay item that came from China and took 5 plus weeks. They however are decent and fit well.
