m50NV stroker build help

Planning on building an M50NV stroker with m54b30 parts. I currently own both of these motors, and have a few questions I'm getting mixed answers to:

Plan:

M50NV motor
M54 crankshaft
m54 pistons and rods
m54 intake camshaft
Move m50NV intake cam to exhaust side

That being said, my understanding was that the m54 intake cam could be installed in an M50NV no problem, using all NV hardware. Is this correct? Do I need M54 sprocket or any other hardware to properly install into the M50NV?

Also, if m54 and M50NV cams are identical, why not just leave the m50NV intake in place and install the M54 intake cam into the exhaust side of my m50?
