E34 M50b25 new issue - Engine idle running rough then stop when engine bay is hot

Hi pros.

There is new issue with my E34.
After long route running well, when I stopped and managed to park the car to the gara, the engine idle running rough and suddenly stopped.
I restarted but still the same situation, even I press gas pedal, not have reaction from the engine. I oppened the engine bay cover and felt it's very hot, even engine temparature indication was normal. After some minutes, when engine bay was cooling down, I restarted the engine, it run as normal. Quite strange. I suspect MAF, idle (T-shape) valve, or DME box.

Oh my god, engine insulation at DME room position was peeled off.

maybe the DME is overheating.Is the temperature sensor in the DME box working and the fan? http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E3...trical_system/
My E32 is hot climate version and the temperature sensor switches on the cooling fan at 44 degree C. Items 13,14,15 are in my E32 LHD on passenger side footwell behind/below the glovebox, a pipe comes from IHKA center console http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E3...trol_unit_box/

Maybe the DME needs repair (?), usually something like this http://www.e38.org/e28/louielouie/dme_fix.html

I have checked, I could not find the DME box cooling fan. @Shogun, could you please post some actual pictures.

you cannot see the fan inside the e-box, the cooling fan for e-box is located inside the car, passenger side/right side behind/under the glove box, a tube comes from aircon to the fan and the small fan is located in a plastic housing, from there the connection is going thru the firewall and to the bottom of the e-box, pics from E32 https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...-into-footwell On a 1995 E34 525 M50 it should look like this, check with your VIN http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E3...trical_system/ make sure your country version has the fan too, as the ETK mentions for temperature switch located inside the e-box temperature switch for vehicles with National version Australia L810A Or Hot-climate version S823A ,Only applies to E-box-ventilation 12631717443 44 CEL
