Good day,
I have a 2003 Z4 3.0 with a miscalibrated steering angle sensor after some suspension component changes and an alignment.
I'm using a K-DCAN cable from Amazon with a switch connected to a Intel Macbook running Windows 10 on Bootcamp.
I've had success with the same setup running BMW Scanner 1.4, but am struggling to get up and running with INPA now that I need to do more than simple diagnostics.
I installed the software using Mike's Easy installer. I have the drivers set to COM1, latency on "1", verifying that it looks fine on Device Manager.
What's more, I can read engine codes (although my submenus - and the code explanations - are still in German).
When I go to E85 -> Chassis -> DSC MK60, I get two error messages (depending on which way my switch is flipped on the cable).
"IFH-0009: NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROLUNIT. Program will be stopped!"
or
"IFH-0010: DATATRANSMISSION TO CONTROLUNIT DISTURBED. Program will be stopped!"
Danke in advance for any advice / troubleshooting tips you can share.
Bridge pins 7&8 on the K+DCAN cable using the switch on the cable.

Thank you! I tried with the switch in both positions, but I’ll test with a multimeter to see if it’s bridging when switched.
Interesting - pins 7/8 do not have continuity in either switch position. Is that normal?
