Thank you for the invitation to be a member of Bimmer Forums! I am a retired educator/administrator who has always loved cars but raising a family, buying homes, etc. prevented me from purchasing cars that I admired...except for my first car which was a '65 Chevelle SS. Recently my wife and I felt we could afford to purchase a newer auto other than another Lexus. I researched and we decided to purchase our first BMW...a 2022 X5 certified pre-owned. I have to be honest...my wife picked out this particular car for us for the first time. It was not the one I liked the best but this time I wanted her to have more input into our decision. The past few years she has had serious health issues and I wanted her to feel good and look for a car she liked. So we bought this model in Ft. Myers while wintering there. Her choice is growing on me with the color of interior she liked as opposed to me always liking black. She loved the cognac. Cognac is growing on me to where we both are very happy with our purchase. The exterior is Alpine White. We are still unsure about run flat tires but time will help us decide. We have never loved a car and how it drives so much. We both enjoy "the driving experience". Yet there are so many options and decisions that we are not used to and I hope I can learn more about BMW's on here. I thank all of you on Bimmer Forums and what you have made it to be today.
