Just bid on and won a 2002 E46 M3 Drop Top from BaT.

Need to drive it back home and have a quick question, does the HK system read MP3 CDs, or even burned CDs?

Need to plan my three hour drive back and I don't think I have original CDs anymore...

It'll read burned CD's in CD format but not MP3's.

My 330Ci's CD changer got retired. Sound quality was great (I have Harman Kardon but I plan on fitting speaker upgrades).

I bought the BlueBus music adapter. Was cheap, connects every time and sounds almost as good as the CD changer.

My CD changer is mounted in the trunk/boot and it plugs into the changer's existing cabling.

OEM head unit is retained and steering wheel controls also work.

Welcome back to the fold. I was out of the game myself for around 8 years. Came back to BF to find it's nowhere near the same any more. Much quieter than it used to be circa 2000.
