I bought an E70 N55 engine with 200,000kms it had malfunction engine with codes relating to vanos gears and I did the following;
Replaced camshaft seals with Teflon seals,, replaced vanos gears, replaced timing chain.
After all this, I started the car and the 'engine malfunction illumination was still on this time with the followin new codes;
DTC P0343 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor A bank 1 Circuit High Voltage Bank 1
DTC P0368 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor "B" bank 1 Circuit High Voltage
300C and 300E.
Where am I missing it?
High voltage usually means a wiring problem.
Did you reuse the CPS?
Same bank suggest a loose ground or some common wire. They are very likely on the same DME plug.
Very recently somebody had a mystery fault ended up being a broken pin on dme connector.
