well, i finally got around to doing a boost leak test on my car since i noticed some an oily residue around my turbos compressor bolts. well, after about 10-15psi the turbo compressor where it bolts/clocks to the turbos center section is leaking boost like crazy.
Now i remember hearing that there is a sealer you can put on the turbo to seal it up where the compressor housing meets the turbo. anyone else ever have this problem? i wanna head back to the dyno and push this turbos limits but not with massive boost leaks like this.

Many compressors are supposed to have an o-ring seal there, and for some reason don't.
If nothing else, just use some Import Grey RTV(very sparingly) to seal it up.
with the way my turbo is clocked one of the bolts is right on the oil return fitting so i was forced to leave it out.
I'm going to be pressure testing the system this weekend, and i hope it does not leak, because if it does, i'm not sure what option i have...

bolts are all tight. Its a precision sc61 and there is no o-ring that i know of. Im just gunna clean it up and apply a very small layer of high temp copper rtv. its amazing how much air leaks outta this thing going from 10psi to 20psi. id say this is a major boost leak. Now my ebc has a slight leak as well, maybe some super glue on the nipple or something will help that. back to the dyno this weekend hopefully for some new numbers.![]()

Superglue doesn't fill in cracks well. Clean the surfaces well and a little JB weld will fix up a boost leak.

I am having similar issue on my psr 6866A topmount turbo and psr external 45mmm wstegate controlled by a 3port mac wired to my reflex plus module. i cannot build boost above 10psi even at 80% WGDC and i remember one compressor bolt could not be tightened fully due the turbo oil return line at the bottom all other bolts are tightened where could the issue be?... All intercooler piping has been checked waiting for a boost leak check... Please share some troubleshooting tips

Did it make more than 10psi before? Have you tried bypassing the MAC valve? Is the MAC valve hooked up correctly? Are you certain? Is your Reflex Plus wired correctly? Are you certain? Is your inlet cheap silicone hose that is collapsing under the suction?

Sounds like your missing the fire ring on your external Wastegate.
That would be easy to test
Also check your overboost settings.
My mechanic insists he installed it but it looks like I might have to to take the manifold apart since its installed in a tight location

The turbo inlet is open, no hoses. How to bypass the mac valve? Yes we rechecked the reflex wiring to the mac controller and it is fine

Did it ever work properly? Is this a problem that occurred on an otherwise working car or is this a turbo install that is not working as hoped?
well this is pronlem with trusting some mechanics...found the external wastegate valve seat missing and the smoke test revealed a leak on the lpfp pressure sensor connection on the intake manifold
