I have a 2017 320i my battery died, I got it jumped. Everything seems to be operating fine outside of my gas gauge, thermostat and tach. It's showing up various codes. They are as listed
Drivetrain malfunction
parking break malfunction
retractable top malfunction (I don't even own a convertible)
and update required
I can't imagine that all of this happens just because of a dead battery and my car has just over 60k miles. There has to be a hack instead of paying the dealership thousands. The alternator is good because I haven't had any issues since.
Please help
Those are not codes. You need a read of the codes in the car with a tool capable of reading BMW manufacturer codes.
Normally this doesn't happen, but it looks like something happened when it was jumped, possibly incorrectly.
If you have a Windows laptop and acquiring an inexpensive BMW ENET cable (on Amazon) then more can be read remotely.
