Hi all, I'm completely stumped. I am getting the dreaded drivetrain error but ok to drive message. I'm not in limp mode or anything as it says I am ok to drive, just schedule service. When I open ISTA and check the codes, the only one that is active is the starter has an issue but the car starts fine and the starter is not making any weird sounds. I even used ISTA to go through the starter check and it seemed to be fine, cleared ok. When I try to clear all of the codes, the starter one never goes away and the drivetrain error just stays there. The internet has suggested that maybe my battery is bad but the voltages all look good when I used ISTA to check. Can anyone give me advice on clearing this thing? I did recently replaced the spark plugs and coils due to an acceleration issue which has been fixed. Did I need to reset something in ISTA on the BMW after I replaced the coils/plugs? Can I just disconnect the aux battery and connect it back to clear?
Hi! Did you fix it? I have the exact same thing? Is it because of update? Bo issues with starting the car and the error is there for 40k miles..
