I am putting up the LS1 e39 for sale. Need room
5.7 LS1 (needs to be tuned- currently running SD)
engine rebuild by Houston Engine Rebuilders when the cam was installed, maybe 5-8k miles on the engine
4l60e (needs to be rebuilt - when driving normally, its shifts normal, it when you pedal to metal it slips)
2pc 3" custom driveshaft w/M5 center bearing
Ford 8.8 rear diff, Ford posi, 3.73 gear, g-force axles
3" true dual full exhaust to summit turbo mufflers, and yes it does drone.. maybe 2.5" pipe and different muffler may help
This was a daily driver years ago for a few years, then I did the cam swap, long tube header build and never re-did the a/c lines and only drove it on cooler days... then it started siting more.
It needs some freshning up. Ill post picture in the next few days, as it is, nice and dirty so its not embellishing anythingNext time I take it to work, Ill take a video of the undercarriage.

I have about 2 hours of practicing with the oxy acetylene and aluminum brazing. Turned out pretty good... I'm still shocked I got the tube bent with the right lengths in the right spot first try...

Next week I will run to the hydraulic shop and pick up some #12 hose and crimp on, remove the compressor and measure/drain the oil and fill with new, replace the accumulator and find the a/c belt floating around the garage and install it
I also have some aluminum heat shield material from some BMW and I will make a heat shield for the suction tube that is close to the header. I think it looks better than have the OE shield folded back like I had it in the first place ...
