i would rinse it with water.... it should be fine tho.....i would plan ahead and buy one anyways if i had the chance and just keep it stored in the trunk in case the one that got sprayed with brake cleaner decides to fail in the near future. But honestly, those belts are pretty resistant to fluids and dirt. I mean.....even trucks used for offroading have the belts fully exposed to mud and all kinds of debris. im not a professional mechanic but i spilled coolant on my e36 serpentine belt before and forgot about it, when i drove it, it started making loud noises as if it were loose and just slipping on the pulleys....took it off, dish soap, thoroughly rinsed it with water, cleaned the pulleys with wet tissue paper. re-installed the belt and it ran fine for over a year till i had a front end small impact and part of the belt got ripped off and had a string hanging....car still drove 3 miles home with that string flapping all over the engine bay as i drove LOL!

It should be fine, its not immediately harmful to rubber

but yea, dont make a big deal out of stuff like this man. it a machine, not a fragile piece of clock work, even clothing stands up fine to brake cleaner..whats a little gonna do to the belt that drives your accessories..you are just being over sensitive and phobic, be reasonable. I have had all kind of stuff go wrong while working, and splashing belts with all kinda mucks...no big deal.

Don't sweat it man! While oils and brake cleaner are harmful to rubber over time, they won't degrade it so fast as to make it fall apart. It'll still probably wear out normally before the power steering fluid or brake cleaner hurts it.

Cool thanks alot guys appreciate all the help and thank you for replying I guess I just freaked out because I had just installed the belt a day before and even though it has lifetime warranty I was like I don't want to take it back and get a new one just because brake cleaner got on it
