^I have never seen Hartge wheels that look like this. The bolts are different (female torx vs male torx), the center caps are different (snap in cap design vs bolt on) and the wheel centers are different (no lip where the lips meet the wheel center) than any others that I have seen. Are these custom made?

As far as I know there were several different "designs" of the hartge splits.
Hartge design a
Hartge design c
Hartge design d
Mine are design e, which have 33 bolts and snap on caps.
I believe these are the same wheels as forum member "Yalden" had on his old e36.

His are the late model with the recessed bolt ring. Your bolts look the same but you have the old style lips without the ring. It is interesting to see this variation which I have never seen before. Thanks for your reply.

Hi guys, I stumbled across this thread and thought I post my new wheels. They are 18x8.5 et13 and 18x9.5 et21 and in desperate need of a refurb. I am very confident that these are the only set in New Zealand.

Excuse the punching bag haha

Does anyone know where to get centre caps for these bad boys?

I may be able to hook you up with some aluminum reproductions. I am not sure if there are any left. The originals in good condition (make sure to ask for pictures of the back of the wheel cover) are very hard to find but look on ebay Germany and UK and you may find some if that is what you are looking for.

Expect a PM from another member regarding your wheels shortly. Paging Gixxerboy.
Photobucket sucks!
Long live the E34!
If you can, then you can. I've only had them a week and haven't started on the refurb yet so it's not a big issue. I kind of like them without centre caps at the moment but I suspect that is because they are so dirty.
He's not going to have any luck trying to pry these from my dirty little hands
No caps is definitely aggressive but I agree, it only really works when dirty. Once they are refinished the center caps complete them!! Plus it just adds to the rarity. When/if you end up getting caps are you going to run the black logos or white logos?

To be honest, I hadn't even thought that far ahead yet. Looking at yours though, I do like the white. I'm still trying to get the height, camber dialed in. It still rubs on the drivers (just) despite have the guards rolled.
For an un-furbished set??? You cray cray. Plus you already have a set so that's just being greedy :P
