I am seriously considering getting this, or trying to for like 1000-1500. I would like to know whats a good engine to put into it, and trans. How much would it cost to install it all, and get the car running. Is it better to just buy a normal car, caz I only want this car so I can drop a faster engine into it, like 2.8 liter 193 hp, for 2500. My dad would like me to talk to a mechanic though, I wanna know specs on this, and more info. If you can help, pls email me or reply. Thanks.

Heres a engine im thinking about getting and putting in the E30.

They are asking a lot for that E30. I can find those in my paper for 3k running. You might want to try to bring them down.

Buy the car, but not the engine. Buy a '92 325i non-VANOS M50. This is OBD-1 and is almost a direct swap into your car. Find a 4.10 LS from an E30 M3 and you will have a $5000 E30 M3 eater.
