Has anyone installed a ram air tube for their CAI with success??

I have an ECIS CAI. I have heard of people installing tubes from the brake duct to send cool air directly to the filter. Also is there some kind of baffle or water splash around the grill area that can be modifed or removed to let more air in??? Has anyone gotten any results from this or is it just overkill/hype???

You can remove the water ingestion flap behind the drivers side kidney grill to get the ram air effect that way. And u can also get a tube.. cut a hole in ur brake duct and run the tube through the brake duct and up into the intake bay. Ben did a write up on this a while back.

Yeah, I saw Ben's writeup but it looked more like a practical joke than anything else. I want to hear from people that have removed the injestion flap or created a brake duct tube to feed the CAI with the results + or -.

water ingestion flap is simple.. i removed mine when i got the intake 3 years ago. Drove through hurricanes and floods.. no problem since the airbox is removed and a cone filter is sitting in mid air. It really helps to get more cold air rushed in there. U'll see when u remove it how much space it opens up.

And Ben's not kidding.. he really did that to his car.. Im sure it works.

    Question water ingestion baffle

Wasn't there a write-up about that on here a while ago? I'm interested in removing mine, but I can't find that thread. Does anyone know? Thanks!
