I have a 2002 325ci, and since it's a bimmer, the sound is not very sporty. I have friends with g35's and it has a great sound without any mods. Are there any engine mods or exhaust mods that will increase the sound without spending to much money? -thank you
What's too much money? UUC has their TSE3 Light for a sweet price in another section of the forums...

Nissan put tons of RD into producing that lovely exhaust note youre talking about.. i am curious about what exhausts are popular with BMW guys (im not one.... yet!) My friend had an 04 m3 with some kind of exhaust but it sounded really raspy and... not that great..
From what I've gathered through reading forums, UUC and Eismann are the two more popular exhausts for BMW's. Youtube is full of videos of how they sound.

An Intake will change the sound of your engine. When I had my intake, many people asked me which exhaust I had. Exhaust is the most popular upgrade for a more deeper tone. Check out some sound clips to see which you like the best.

So a exhaust would work, but does that mean I have to change the entire exhaust throughout the car, or are there other ways?
Does a tip installation add a little better sound, or is it just for looks?
do any of you guys fab up M3 mufflers? or does the exhaust run on the wrong side on non m3s?
rogue engineering IKON..
do it. dont look back.

depending on how much you wanna spend, if you really want there to be a difference in the sound...... go ahead and change everything straight from the engine..... get some performance headers in, take the cat off and put some straight pipes and get you a nice muffler to go with it...... when i say nice i dont mean a 5 inch tip muffler that makes your car look riced out and cheesey......
but that would sounds HOTT..... i'm getting my money together to do that to mine as we speak
I went with the K&N air intake, love the sound. Under $200. Next for me will be the exhaust. I like the look of the dual muffler systems (DMS) so it will either be UUC or Rogue. There are companies that offer dual M3 looking setups, but they require modifying the back bumper (assuming it's stock).
