What would be a good height to lower it too? IO believe the M3's are about 1-1/2 lower than stock. But lookin for some help!

Judging from what I've read, you don't want to lower TOO much because the oil pan is very vulnerable once you start lowering. In about 5 seconds you'll get a barrage of answers I'm sure though haha.

it can be lowered safely by not getting crappy springs .. ask me how i know.
they also sell skid plates so if you really are worried about it then do that.

I have eibach pro kit with billstein sports and i like my stance a lot. A lot of people dog on those springs but since i daily drive it and the roads where i am suck a lot they are about as agressive as i can get and i like them a lot

if it's a daily driver, just get H&R sports or M coils will drop it appx .75-1" depending on the weight of the vehicle.

hehe... so I curerntly have some $#!^% bav auto 'race' springs that run the fenders on the tires and drag my oil pan (PO thing)... I lost my IS lip two days ago...

    go with some quality h&r's

most people find the "quality" of H&R's somewhat lacking for E30 application. Vogtland are great but somewhat pricey I believe.

... i think it slowly ground away from the rough road here, lol. Seriously, it wasn't at that scen. it just dissappeared one day... so what spring would you recommend to protect the m-tech kit im thinking of adding? ( gonna be biggest/best waste of $$ ever )

there's a difference between the sport and race H&R coils. H&R makes a quality product. Vogtland also makes a quality product which are much more affordable than H&R. they are also a progressive rate meaning they will provide good ride comfort for a DD.

    What?

We can't really tell you what a good height is, personally I like my height, about .5" lower in the back, and about 2" in the front, just about even distance from tire to fender. I could also be ok with H&R height. But I wouldn't want Eibach low.

You have to judge for yourself, based on your roads, how careful you want to be, how much you want to spend, how comfortable you want to be, etc...

this is true, I should specify most people are not satisfied when they have used H&R sport coils from everything I have seen.

honestly, I don't know. The info on bav auto's site doesn't seem to describe my springs. By the way they look and feel, the drop seems to be about 2 inches or more ( lowest part of fender behind front wheel is ~4 inches off the ground ) and the ride is very rough, so I'm guessing its a pretty high spring rate ( maybe 500-600 ). peerty much solid...
