Can anyone recommend a good digital camera that is fairly priced? I have been meaning to take pictures of my bmw for quite some time. Also, how long will it take for one to get used to a laptop (assuming i use it 3+ hours per day)? I'm on one i just ordered and it's taking me forever to type this post
Thanks,

The Canon PowerShot S100 Digital Elph is what I recommend. It is a little pricey (you can probably pick one up for under $400), but IMO it is one of the best. The camera itself is only about 2.5 inches wide, two inches high and an inch thick, and shoots up to 1600x1200 with extremely good clarity. Also, unlike the Kodak cameras and others, it shoots at a perfect 4 by 3 ratio, which means you can easily turn all your photos into wallpapers without cropping and cutting.

I have an olympus C3000 and it takes amazing pictures. They are sharper than my Canon EOS Elan 7 SLR camera. Its 3.3 MP, and its onlyy 600 bucks now (I paid 800 for it)

I got used to my laptop pretty quickly. I have hte Thinkpad with the eraser head mouse thingy. I like that much better than the touchpad. I get more control over hte mouse the eraser head.
hope that link to the camera helps

What price range are you looking at? I have a Sony DSC-F505V, which I'm very happy with. Excellent lens, excellent pictures. It has a 3.3 mp ccd shoehorned into the old DSC-F505 body, so it only takes a 2.6 mp picture, but the picture quality is great. If you have any Sony gear, and already use memory sticks, I'd recommend it, although it does have some issues. (no viewfinder, shutterlag, etc.)
Be sure to check out http://www.dpreview.com. It's one of the best sites out there for digital photography.
