Feeler: E36 Yakima roof rack

I've got a removable E36 Yakima roof rack with all of the mounting accessories. I haven't taken pictures of them yet but I'll put them up soon. I'm playing around with selling/trading it since it just sits in my trunk taking up space. I'd be interested in a cosmos racing intake, low-profile rear spoiler, E36 x-brace, AC Schnitzer exhaust + money, or maybe 17" Kosei K1's w/ tires + money (if we do this, I could maybe trade my 15" bottlecaps as well). PM me an offer if anyone's interested.

Wow, lol. I thought this was a lost cause. I don't know if it could work on an E30, I'm not even really sure what model it is since it came with the car. Someone send me an offer cause I honestly don't know how much these go for. The condition is a bit rough.

I'll post a price after I source a mount. I can't find one of the gutter hooks so I'll be replacing the ones that I can't find. I'll bump when I have the parts and can sell again. It's been a year, I didn't think anyone wanted one

Oh harro! Wow, this shit is old. I've pretty much got all of the parts now minus a screw that locks the bracket onto the bar (ordering from yakima soon). School's got me working really slow. I'm really not looking into shipping it unless no one local wants it. It should fit on coupes. Open your door and pull back the weather stripping that runs along the top of the door. You should see these 2 knobs on each side. The brackets hook onto those to secure to the body. Here are a couple of pictures of it mounted:

The roof rack model is Yakima's SST (I believe it is one generation before Q).

So is this sst or q tower? don't I need Y clips up front and back? and I still have to purchase the actual bike mount right?

This is the SST. The Y-clips are vehicle specific but since I already have the E36 specific Y-clips, you don't have to source a set. The chassis mounting points I was describing above is where the y-clips lock onto.

I do not have any of the rack systems, it's just the tower/bar setup + a fairing. The bars/bike mounts/etc for the Q-towers can be used on the SST system; it's just the tower setup that's different. I've found a replacement set of parts and I have placed a bid. I'll update this thread in about 2 days (when the bid ends).

I only need it for a bike so this would be perfect. I was told that you have to have identical Y clips front and rear on coupes and different Y clips on 4 doors? I assume you have different Y clips front and rear.

I'll let you know if the deal falls through with ilikeit. I'd much rather not try to ship this as it is a really awkward size and would probably be a pretty penny to ship (15+ dollars).

Any news? Turns out I can't use Q-towers on my car and Yakima has 0 Y clips in stock for the rest of eternity. my only alternative to finding used SST's and Y-33's is dealers marked up $600+ thule...
