Polish lip on style 32's ?

Would this theoretically work on my style 32's ?

The previous owner curbed the wheels pretty good so this is looking like a pretty good Idea about now.

    Epoxy and silver paint

I re-did my son's style 32's they came out really well. used epoxy to fill in the really bad curb rash and painted with the Griot's silver. Looks real good. I don't think I have enough posts to put pictures up.

Yes, it would theortically work, but it might be difficult given it is a one-piece wheel. I'm not sure how the finish on the rest of the wheel will hold up- where the spokes meet the lip

More input please, I'm seriously considering this. I've already started on the valve covers and they're coming out pretty nice. M33M I actually epoxy'd the curb rash, but I never found the right match paint, I think style 32's would look pretty sweet with a polished lip, so I might go for it, if it can be done just like in the link.

You do realize that the 32's are painted. So, are you talking about stripping the paint to the bare metal to try and polish those, or are you trying to paint the lips silver and centers different to give it the "polished look"

stripping the paint, leaving the spokes painted and polishing the tips. no black spokes for me tho.

Did anyone do the polished lips on BMW Style 32s? I have peeling 17" style 32s on my daughter's black '93 525i that I want to refinish and am thinking to go with a polished lip and maybe classic gold spokes. I don't know if it would be too difficult to polish the lips and paint the spokes myself and if I would need to strip the wheels completely first.
