Hello David MC,
I have a couple questions you might be able to help me with:
1) I was reading Carsoft lets you reset the adaptation values of the DME: are we talking about things such as LTFT (long term fuel trimming)?
2) How strong are the live data functions? Can I for example record different parameters, export the in a CSV value and read them in excel? Let's say I wanna see if I'm running reach or lean and I wanna check what would be the O2 voltage at different RPM, under differnt load condition: can I do it?
Thanks

Anyone had success with the carsoft interface that looks like this?

The only way to record live data is to use your computer's Printscreen function to copy and paste the info into a word document - cumbersome but it beats scribbling 5 pages of live data out with a pencil. The Carsoft 6.5 review by DJGenius shows most of the functions available on Carsoft, which does not support DME remapping or fuel trim adjustment.
Are the crack files already in the folder that can be downloaded or do i need to get them from somewhere else. Can you send them to me David? I have been trying to get the program running with no luck yet.

The program folder on the hosted website should contain everything you need. I have also uploaded a few other files that may be of interest, such as BMW Trouble Code definitions, a PDF e36 owners manual and some repair guides.
I'm having trouble with the tiff file, the fault codes file...When I download it it pops up in another window and displays some funky characters and then stops...Any ideas on that?
After i get eveything installed...that finally worked...the program is asking me for an authentication code? Maybe i am doing something wrong?

I have re-loaded the M52 fault code file as a PDF, try it now. If Carsoft is asking for an authentication code, the software has not been cracked properly, I suggest you print out the installation instructions and reinstal the software.
Thanks, thats what i figured...i just wanted to make sure.

Got it...pdf works...thank you sir...
So I see the coding tabs, dme coding and lcm coding, what are these for? I click it and it says reading coding data then says turn ign off-turn ign on and then i press write coding...is this for module replacement? So the new module gets the info the old module had?
I have also seen but not used the coding functions and agree that they appear to be used to transfer data to a new module during replacement.
I think it has been noted or posted before but can I recode a replacement cluster with the lcm recoding?...I have also found the repeative code 111 which is torque converter clutch circuit open...Where is the solenoid located this is the gm tranny... Is it internal in the second small pan, any ideas on how to test or locate so I can ohm it out...thnx
JRW21 that is the interface that I have. It does seem to work to get/clear codes, but Live Data reads all zeros. I don't know if that is the car (Siemens MS43) or the interface box.
Has anyone tried ELM327 USB to OBDII tool with CarSoft?

Be patient, it sometimes takes a while.
Thanks, I would really appreciate it.
