so i started another thread about the switch, https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...6#post29929336
and was directed here.. and then i saw your post, my vin is literally one digit after yours and i too have an alpine white touring with this switch.
does yours have the strange port in the rear of the console?
No post's since the 11th?! Let me fix that
Mini photoshoot behind my office today ( I apologize to those who saw these already in the winter wagon thread.... sike!)
Always willing to follow a touring sub-thread, have owned 3 E39 touring's over my E39 ownership days, 1 Titan silver 530i Sport, 1 Sapphire Black 530D auto and now a manual 530d Imola touring, currently having work done on the imola but should be a lovely motor once done. Is sat on 18" Rondell 0058s in Anthracite and looks lovely.
Finally decided to sell mine... listed on CL and in the For Sale listings on here...

Threw on on the set of Fittipaldi wheels (made by Enkei) that my buddy gave to me from a 528i he purchased as a parts car until my refurbished Style 81s come in this week.
Can’t find another pic of these wheels on another E39, but they are hubcentric and proper offset.
Not my cup of tea, if I’m honest.

Sick Dude love the rack, is it actually a yakima unit or is it just the fairing?
1st Bath and Photo since my swap
Thanks man! great job on the manual swap! I just got rid of my m-pars or we'd be close to twins! I'm a bit jealous of your black interior, but Las Vegas summers are brutal and I transport my dogs occasionally. and yes, they are genuine yakima x-bars and loadwarrior basket.

Thanks dude, definitely worth the effort! I dig the Silver on Black and it looks a million times better as a stick
But i live in Los Angeles where its been annoyingly hot the last few years as well so i totally get you haha... & ahh ok i see, i have been wanting to get a basket for the touring, i have a yakima system for my E36 and have just been trying to find a decent set up for the E39.
Had an official photoshoot for BMW Indonesia with all generation of touring (minus F11 since no one have one here) for the launching of the G31 touring.
And no, that's not a real e34 M5, but yes, that's a real e61 M5 Dinan Stage 2.
See the video of the e61 here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmxixHWlQwc

Just picked this up! 2003 540iA 144,000 miles! I'm a photographer so it's great for a work car!
Has the vanos chatter and hasn't had the time chain guides replaced so I have my work cut out for me =X. Will replace the chain tensioner first to hold things off a bit hopefully!
But man, this thing is fast. I came from a 325i 5-speed and felt that was pretty quick, but the V8 is a whole another animal. It just keeps pulling and pulling and sounds like a muscle car
