we might actually be able to make it tomorrow guys! super duper!
I went to Ralph Schomp yesterday, they recieved their first set of E92 M3s. The alpine white one was out and about with the owner's son i got to see a black one though, and it was amazing....i'm putting my deposit down in September
Where's a good car wash (DIY) place near that start point?
Wish I could make it, looks like fun. Maybe next time this is put together, I can go.
I specifically went to Schomp to check out the M3's but only saw the black one, which was being driven by a potential customer at the time. Pretty cool! I will be getting mine in 2025.
Sorry for the threadjack.
Don't think I'm going to make this one since I'm spending tomorrow with my fiancee. I'll make the next run on the 20th, weather permitting. Maybe I'll have my own 3 so she can have hers back!
Weather Update:
Here's the forcast and radar for the Front Range tonight and tomorrow along with my own educated guess of what will happen. I also read the National Weather Service forcast discussion.
Forecast: 30% chance of snow tonight ending at 9 am tomorrow morning. Then partly cloudy with a high of 48.
The radar shows a band of light to moderate echos lingering mostly East of the Continental Divide which is assosiated with an upper level trough. I would predict that if an upslope flow develops along the Front Range it will draw those echos Eastward and that combined with the strong lapse rate will cause some precip (snow) to fall. The upslope potiential right now is forcast to be pretty weak, so snow may or may not happen.
In English. Snow may happen, but probably not in the flatlands. In the mountains East of the Divide light flurries are probably already falling. The 100 dollar question is are these flurries falling on the Peak to Peak highway?
It's all supposed to move over us and East of us by 9am. So based on this information I say GAME ON. Lets meet at the intersection of HWY 93 and HWY 72 at noon and if it looks bad in the mountains still, we'll stay in the flats! There's a parking lot on the South East side of the interstection. I'll see you guys there at noon, I'll be in the Red M Coupe in my sig!!
if theres not too much snow ill bring out the e30.
did you get my message alex, i called you earlier today,
so whats the plan?
I'm still going. I didn't want to go hardcore on the roads anyway, so this should be perfect.
BTW, what side of the intersection are we meeting? Is there a particular store's parking lot?

Sorry guys, I have to pass on this one.
Somebody coming over to look at the car at noon.
There's no store, just a dirt park and ride type lot.Lets meet at the intersection of HWY 93 and HWY 72 at noon
Great route alex that was alot of fun,
I had to laugh when I came hauling ass up that corner that woman was waving her cane in the air lol.
haha had a great time guys, good to meet you all.
trying to drive hard and holding on to the dog at the same time just doesnt seem to work, ill have to get a dog harness or something rigged into the racing seats lol
It was a blast! Thanks for setting up the route and everything, alex. I think we should do this once a month, or at least every other.
