Thanks for the heads up. I now know who NOT to go on a drive with in North Georgia once I move back. Maybe it's the video, but ya'll are going way to fast for foggy and damp conditions.

I don't think anyone pushed it beyond their limits.....of course that's all a matter of opinion. If it's not within yours then you stay in the back and we wait for you at the top.

We had from what i saw a very responsible group of people.....no passing on solid yellow lines......no burnouts.....not any passing at all really! It was not a race......those who wanted to push a little got in front and those who didn't stayed back.....but we stopped and let everyone catch up.

+2 boggie! i never once felt like i was at the limit of my car. I dont think anyone felt uncomfortable driving around each other.

In all reality in the really foggy sections where it was dangerous I think the whole group was under 30mph...

So the verdict is NEW engine!!!! every exhaust valve is bent, the pistons were hit and marked. so the pistons and bearings are trash. I'll probably part this one out.

I did mention that the video might appear to make it faster.

I found a junker with a 35K motor that runs, i'll be getting pics and compression tests. It'll be a killer deal too if i go with this one. I'll part the old motor and make back some of what i spend on the new(er) one. Maybe some cash for the TRM suspension when it debuts. These front struts suck.

I cant contribute to your fund as i am struggling to get some new brakes but if you need help with the build let me know. I'm no super mechanic but i am a pro at handing people tools....lol!

Hey y'all, it was great meeting everyone and driving with the pack. I can't wait to do some more "leisurely" drives. Sadly I will be in Charlotte this weekend for work, so no 4NGIEFEST or world record drive. Am I blind, or has Halson's picture link not yet been posted?
