Just pulled the trigger on a set of 18x8.5 ET13s!

It feels good to be coming back to the RC club, the first set of wheels I ever bought (18x8.5 ET38).

Did you get them for concavity? might look good, but I'm sure you'll have to stretch tires to get them to fit right, and I didn't think you were into that?

I did get them for concavity. It will definitely look good. I can get them to fit with a 225/40/18 and camber. That isn't stretch on an 8.5" wheel. The 8.5" at ET 13 will only be 1/4" further out than the 9" in the front and 1/4" further out then the 10" in the back.

You are right, not a fan of stretch. If they are a harder fit then expected, I will just sell them. No harm, no foul. I need something to run while I refinish the Impuls, I suppose I could just go back to stockers.

^^You undoubtedly have a beautiful car, but you really should consider switching back to your original OEM chrome kidney grilles. It would so vastly improve not just the front end, but the whole car itself. And most of all, it would complement your polished RC-Js so well. BMW knew exactly what it was doing when adding this little touch of classiness, so you shouldn't second guess it.

Pics of my bucket w/ my first set of wheels from like 14 years ago...aaah, the memories.~

Might look into that. Personally I do like the black grilles. My rcj's aren't polished so not sure I would like the chrome w it.

They're not? Aren't all RCs polished w/ quasi-chrome center caps? If not, what would you call the finish?

Your car would look much better with the chrome. I used to run black out as well but the OEM ones just look way better. I do like black grills on black cars though.
