    How to remove expansion tank?

I've got a coolant level sensor to change because it's leaking.

How do I get it out of there? Or atleast in a position to get the sensor out and the new one in.

Yes, I know it's the sign of an expansion tank starting to go, but I simply don't have the cash for a new tank right now.

Its a mother bitch to get off because the tube which connects it to the radiator is a pressed in bitch. Took my mechanic 3 hours to get it off. Maybe BMW makes a tool for this. I had mine replaced by a gifted wrencher but he was not a BMW specialist. Ultimately he did the job well but there are certain BMW tools for one specific use that a general wrencher aint gonna have. Good luck.

    That's surprising - it's pretty simple really.

Cut off the pressed on clamp, trim hose a little if necessary, replace with standard 5/8" worm-drive hose clamp.
