    It's like the difference between a new M3 and a 1987 Hyundai.

    Details, see:

    http://www.shortshifter.com/comparo.htm

The huge differences you will notice in favor of the UUC Evo3:

    1) Precision that no plastic-part shifter can match.

    2) Lifetime durability - all plastic-part shifters wear out and feel sloppy within 6 months.

Here's an interesting comparison review posted on a message board by a person who bought one, then the other:

    http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/shifter..._vs_OCTANE.htm

    Hope that helps!

what kind of kickbacks did you get for asking that timely question?

Just kidding Rob....I have so many UUC products, I wouldn't go anywhere else; all excellent products. I've owned the Evo II and now the Evo III. Rob, quick couple of questions that I've forgotten to ask. What should the max/min height be of the shifter? I'm not sure if I'm at the lowest or highest setting, but I can't seem to adjust the shifter and I want to make sure I don't damage it. Also, do you suggest adding tape to the top or sides to make the fit more snug with the shift knob?

Max height is the same as OE. The shifter is adjustable from OE height down to 3/4" lower (most models).

If you have an OE knob that is loose, it's internal clips are starting to weaken - they are just strips of plastic. You can add a single layer of electrical tape over the top of the shifter (cut through for the notch)... do not go all the way down to the circumferential groove.

Leather pedals to match the RK6A-L.... hmmm, a little extreme, but maybe we can do it.

Sorry I missed your call! Didn't finish catching up on messages before I had to leave last night. You can only be reached in the late afternoon, correct? Please try calling me again, and/or I'll try you later today.

Hey rob, i called today, and my cell phone was cutting out.
I'm the one that called about the shift knob, i think however you had me mistaken for someone else because you said something about someone sending me 5 emails and then switched me over to some lady.

i was pretty confused, but anywho i gave her my information, (well it was still in the computer from me ordering tranny fluid a several weeks back). she said she would have you look at the invoice before processing and charging it.

figured it was easier to get to you this way, you seemed busy lol.

    lmk whats up.

    Hi Derek,

Sorry about that, you sound just like another customer!

You should have gotten a second order confirmation with your adjustment.
