Anyone have any info on the Hyper Silver paint BMW uses on the 2002 M rims? I've done a little checking and can't find out anything.

Search for "shadow chrome".

Hyper Silver was the color used on the 98-00 Roadstars (Roadstars are the stock wheels). Shadow Chrome was used on the 01 and 02 Roadstars. From what I've read, Hyper Silver is not available, and is very difficult to match. Shadow Chrome, though, is supposedly available.

I thought it was the opposite, since part of the Chrome Shadow paint is against EPA regulations or something.
That's why all of the refurbished wheels are Hyper Silver.

shadow chrome has a coat of black with mist of silver over the top of it. . .i saw the wheel guy at home coming do it.

alsa corp sells something called mirrachrome
is a dusting of chrome over black
looks like polished aluminum

I've used Also Corp paint and it doesn't compare whatsoever to this particular HS i found out of the country. it is really great-we use it daily with no issues. its the real deal.

You can buy Wurth in spary can. That is the same paint used on the pre '01s.
