    Squeaky sounds coming from RSMs

Is this an indication that the RSMs are bad, the suspension is shot, or both?

Also, if I were to upgrade to the TCK S/A setup would it eliminate much of the squat and dive associated with hard acceleration and braking? It never really bothered me before, but with the HIDs I can easily see the cutoff moving up and down and it is irritating .

yes, yes, and yes I had the same problem about 1 week ago, running TCK w/ RE RSMs and no more squeak/rattle/dive and sooooooo much better handling!

I am not interested in upgrading my suspension but the squeaking that sounds like it is coming from my back seat, if I had a back seat, is a constant companion these days. Is this most likely the RSMs trying to tell me it is time to replace them at 55K miles?

Sounds like what mine does. I can't really hear it directly behind me, but this weekend I was riding in both my drivers and passengers seat, and in both places the sound seemed to come from over my opposite shoulder (right where the RSMs are)

so if you get the TCK S/A setup, there's no need for the RE RSMs, correct? It should come with RSMs

I replaced my OEM RSMs with Rogue Engineering RSMs a few months back. I was interested in 1) reinforcing an area recognized for being underengineered by BMW and 2) ridding myself of the squeakies. #1 accomplished. #2 failure. Still squeaking away. Maybe I'm due for TCK SAs.

TCKline coilovers come with RSMs, you'll be fine.

Urethane subframe bushings will also help greatly with the squat.

Wait, I do have a constructive comment: if you get RE RSM now and then later get TCK's they'll knock off $100 of the kit price. RE's will make it much easier to change later for the TCK's.

I thought the REs only made it easier if you have a coupe? The roadster RSMs are easy enough to get to...

Are they not just underneath the carpet on the rear tray? I guess it might be easier since my entire rear console is pretty much out of the car right now so I have no pesky roll hoops to get in my way :P

yeah it is the roll hoops and the fact that the top has to be up to get to them. . .then there is getting the carpet back into the groove
