And if that isn't possible I'm a sucker for the S54 M Roady.

haha, e30 m3 baur... I wonder who has it and where?

and yeah, I can't wait to see the m-tech on it too!!! I feel like it has been forever (only a month). Hopefully I'll have it back just in time for spring after the snow is melted and the salt is on the sides of the roads.

The one I got from them was new in box, or refurbished and made to look new. But it was advertised as new in box and looks that way.

Not a bad price. I actually got it on Ebay from them.

Good Guess. I will have to keep my mouth shut until the sponsorship goes through.

Nope, that is a front sway.

to my knowledge there is not a rear made for the E30 Touring. Most of the kits were made for coupes/sedans/verts/m3's. There may well be a company in Europe that sells a touring rear, but it is unique to the Touring and I haven't found anything yet.

The front of the Touring however is the same as any other non-m E30 (except the ix).

Which brings me to the point that the iX never had a front aftermarket sway bar made for it either but does in fact share the rear sway bar with the rest of the E30 world.

In fact the Suspension Techniques Kit I purchased I actually split with kish. I took the front for my Touring and he took the rear for his iX.

The amazing internet community was at it again!

Ugh! So I stopped by the body shop today as last Friday I was told: "Yeah I have a few motorcycle parts to do and then I'll be on to your car."

Of course it hasn't been started yet.

But I snapped a few pics (missing front bumper is now on DriveTopless' car).

Here they are. Oh and red tails installed.

    Bummer.

That's what usually happens when things are done as "favors"

17" kopis actually. I think 17" on the touring is perfect. I look at my 16" real ones on my iX and think that the rear would look a little small because of the back end of the Touring having more "meat".

That's why I'm thinking when I do the engine upgrade a 5 lug might be in order as well. Although I started looking at 17" alpins (just E34) and the offset doesn't quite look. I need to download ALL alpina catalogues and get all 17" widths and offsets.

If a set will fit I'll do it (eventually) if not 4 lug it is and kopis.

Yeah, my cars are filler cars. THe body shop although REALLY good at the "custom" and "restore" work makes their money doing insurance stuff, which is all about quick turnaround. In NH there isn't a high demand for this kind of stuff - and what there is is simple body kit crap - so a shop can't dedicate itself to project after project.

It's ok, I don't mind, but my iX needs some engine love and I'm driving it everyday. Hopefully it'll last a month or so until I can drive the TOuring and work on it - I can't afford to be down the car right now.

Damn I miss having the "done" E46 that was the garage queen but was always ready for DD when the E30 or (at the time) E36 needed some lovin.

back bumper is spoken for and owed to drivetopless and the valence is staying. It's being de-rusted and then the Mtech II will be covering it.

just put a deposit down on an M50 with tranny, all mechanical goods, etc etc etc... Should be picking up later this week.

Got such a great deal I had to say no to S50/52.

And yes, it is THAT good a deal.

That looks pretty sweet to me!

As of now I'm going to the body shop tomorrow (again). If they haven't stareted the car yet I'm pulling it and bringing it to my buddy's mechanic shop where the M50 swap as well as suspension upgrade will be done next week (assuming he is still slow).

If they've started the body work I'll be doing the mechanical upgrades probably a month from now (maybe 3 weeks) as this time of the month is my buddy's slower time.

Hopefully if things finally start to align we're looking at end of May completion date. Which I would also expect Kevin (tricked 323i) to have my seat stuff done as well.

I'm starting to looking into a 5 lug swap if I can find a way to do it without replacing front strut towers as I'd like to get real 17" alpinas (E34, E39, E36 or something).

Anyways, I'll try to get pics of the M50 up this weekend!

Oh and L, how's your brother coming with his project? I'm hoping to do head gaskets and stuff on my iX and it would be a perfect time to swap in new intake manifold and valve cover...

Sounds great... He has not made much progress even though Kish and I harrass him constantly. I have extras here in NJ but they are not refinished.

Now now, no sibling rivalry here please...

Thanks for the Kind words from WI.

Once you have a mani and vc done let me know! If you haven't done them yet I'd love a Black Valve Cover with the BMW and lines just etched out in the silver.

And Silver Intake manifold would be awesome (I like the Stock look).

Feel free to PM me pricing and such! I understand you're at school so good luck with finals in a few weeks..
