    oooo m50, that thing is gonna be sweeettt. was that engine on craigslist? i remember seeing a m50 with low miles on there a couple weeks back

    the next owners gonna be one lucky a$$hole, but imo working on the cars is the best part

    it is nice to have the project part of the car but this project is 90% done by other people... I don't feel connected to it like my iX although the outcome will be sweet!

    M50 starts and has throttle response!

    Got the 4.27 open out and the 3.23LS in today as well.

    Just waiting on a bushing for the driveshaft and the arm for the shifter and we'll be yard drivable. Should have the entire swap buttoned up by this time next week... At least my fingers are crossed!

    Then back to the body shop where things should go quicker this time around!

    Yay! A couple wires under the dash, an exhaust, and some sort of heat shielded intake and we're done! But that is all on hold until the bodywork is complete!

    I'm not sure how the interior is coming. I know a week or two ago Kevin was working on the rears (and complaining about them), but I don't know where he is at.

    Hopefully he'll be done soonish but I'm not too worried, the car still needs suspension, exhaust, and body done. And IF they start it next week it'll be a couple before that, probably a few days to get into the exhaust shop, and then a few days to button everything up.

    Kevin probably has about a month before I start bugging him!

    CAR IS INSIDE THE BODYSHOP!!!

    Pictures this weekend when I have a second...

    All M-tech II parts test fitted.
    Doors are off.
    Parts list made and being ordered.

    Shop is now into it so this is a good thing!!!

    Some blemishes in the usually trouble areas but the Mtech II stuff is covering it. Blemishes will be fixed but not the n'th degree as I'm not planning on taking the Mtech II off once it is on!

    Greg you are correct there seems like I always have 10 projects going at once. I am moving my shop to my buddies body shop, looks like I will need to hire help.

    Sorry... Didn't get much... It was on the lift out of the way... but at lease it is started and at least the Mtech II will cover the yucky rust spots--- after we cut them out and patch them of course!

    well its been about a month since my last post...

    NOTHING has happened...

    It is just a little too busy to get her done - no I don't do my own bodywork and yes the shop is squeezing me in as a 'filler' when things are slow...

    I was promised that I'd have it before october - bav show... And that's all I asked for....

    I would say 'friendly' with the shop. As in a friend of a friend. I'll stop in and shoot the shit with the owners but don't hang out with them - like I do with Owen from Kensington Auto (mechanic shop).

    I tossed them some sox tickets before but that's about it.

    They did my e46 TWICE, part of my E36, and then my E30. Helped with my hood closing problem on my ti today and will repaint the front and rear fender flares of my iX for virtually nothing after the touring is done (since the iX is no longer DD and can be a quasi garage queen/weekend cruiser like the Touring).

    It's not like Owen who I say - don't worry about it. Take your time, whenever and he has it done in like 2 hours...

    But whatever they do AMAZING work, they are really an insurance collision shop and my iX was the first real "restore" they did... Also a 'filler' job hence the $6500 price tag and not the $10,200...

    I'm fine with october though... more time to save and piece together cash for a 5 lug or BBS's or whatever...
