how fast is the 335i in the 1/4? Isn't it a mid 13? If so, and the 135i is lighter then I would imagine it being a mid to low 13 car but I would not bet that it is a 12 sec car from the factory. Now you put a procede or vishnu tune on it then YES!
“If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government, and which against the usurpations of the national rulers may be exerted with infinitely better prospect of success than against those of the rulers of an individual State. In a single State, if the persons intrusted with supreme power become usurpers, the different parcels, subdivisions, or districts of which it consists, having no distinct government in each, can take no regular measures for defense. The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair.” – Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 28

The BMW M3 is making 114 HP, that is over 100 more then the 3.0TT motor, plus much more torque.

But these are just opinions, I am trying to be realistic.

I am pretty sure thats a typo? But yes I agree low 13's to 13flat is more likely.

Considering that the 335i weighs a couple hundred pounds more than the 135i and it can do the 1/4 in lowish 13s stock, I do not see why a 135i couldn't get into the very high 12s stock.

this is all well and good, but everyone can agree that with any of the stage 0 tuner chips, it should hit high 12's no problem (and being on an enthusiast's forum, i think a majority of them will be chipped )

I would have my doubts without Drag radials and or slicks!! Without a true limited slip, traction will be a big issue getting off the line with stock tires.
    We will know soon enough..

e46 M3's getting 12's is not the norm is it??

No, E46 M3s are low 13-second cars. Only a few have made it into the 12s stock.

That's what I thought. I took a new 335i out today for a test drive. It's fast as hell...but I dont think your going to see any 12's out of it. My 390hp Cobra only manages high twelves and its a whole lot more grunt than the 335i.

With a few mods and some traction...12's will not be that hard with the 135.

Not that it matters much, but the 335 has more torque than the M3 (300 vs 295 for the M3).
It's not speed that kills, it's the speed difference that does. Obviously you aren't going fast enough.

.1 or .2 seconds faster than the 335i, 200 lbs weight savings helps, but not that much. Maybe with DR's we see 12's stock, but not on oem rubber imo. Should be real easy to get it to a 12 second car though with just a few mods and flash or piggy-back.

^yes. bimmers are drag only, especially open diff 135's, you may want to cancel your 135 order. the discussion is nothing more than speculation on what sort of performace the 135 will have out of the box vs its bigger brothers.

384 hp / 421 lb-ft. with Dinan software should get you into the 12's. That car pulls like hell!
