Question no spark tried most common problems

checked the sensors, relays, coil I even hot wired directly to the coil with a remote start switch and still nothing! So I'm wondering if a neutral safety switch could cause this because I noticed it started when it was in drive the day it quit running!

Did you check the ECU? Seems to me you wouldn't get spark if your brain was kaput. I'm just throwing out ideas.

Trouble shooting for no spark, is pretty easy.

Check it at the plugs first.
If no spark there, check it at the coil wire.
If you have spark at the coil wire, replace the cap and rotor.

No spark from coil, make sure you have power to the coil. If you do, then you likely need a coil(not a common issue on these cars)
If you have no power to the coil, then you've got a wiring issue.

on my car there are two sensors on the bell housing, one detects crankshaft position for initial firing, it was broken, so i replaced it and that fixed my firing problem

How did you wire the switch to the coil? Did you connect terminal #1 to ground through the switch, or did you apply power to terminal #15 through the switch?

If you didn't get any spark while making and breaking ground to terminal #1, then there is nothing wrong with the ECU.

neutral safety switch won't cause no spark, it WILL cause no crank. There is a difference, we need more info. Does the engine spin over ?

    635nightmare where are you??!!

You have FOUR* different threads on the same subject with dozens of people tying to help and you haven't bothered to respond or answer any of the questions from the people tying to help. You just start a new thread with a question about things that are probably the least likely to be your problem !!

I would suggest that people stop responding to these, or any new threads until he shows up and starts communicating what he has done and suppling information, and then everyone will be glade to help.
