The new bumper has less airflow to the oil cooler and radiator for the
cooled intake. However, this should be enough - from what I have read the
openings have to be at least 25% of the frontal area of the cooler:

I just sold my m3 before xmas and have been dreaming of an e30 m3 project ever since. After stumbling on this thread I now have new hope again. I have been planning on sticking with an s14, but after this I may just have to do a swap of some sort
Fantastic car, and the build was done just right. The dry sump and sc on a euro motor just really set it off. And as far as the carbon work goes . I would only add a carbon dash and try to get a good polish on the wheels. Also the oil lines will defenitly get ruined if left like that coming through from the trunk. Fantastic build and thanks for the new hope.
I have also never seen those carbon/kevlar bumper supports in the picture that carreraboy posted, is that for the special bumper?

There will be rubber grommets installed to prevent metal-to-metal rubbing.
The bumper mounts were supplied with the bumper from www.e30shop.de.

you should have kept the middle "inserts" left carbon fiber. that would look amazing.
Picked up the car yesterday..... all good except that it is running too rich
and is not delivering all the power Will be fixed after easter - cannot
use the power now anyways, it´s snowing at the Ring.

my guess would be almost double that. The body and the engine is probably around 20-25.000 euro without any work, thats almost $ 35.000. Then you have to add all the modifications and all the hours at Tauber.

Back from the Ring. Interesting trip - lots of snow and bloody cold!!!
Also got to drive the GP track which was very interesting - much nicer track than I
had expected.
Unfortunately my car was having power/boost issues all weekend and finally the
supercharger gave up. So now I will have to get it rebuilt. The good thing is
that now I will get all the power back

Well yes and no. We did not suspect that the SC itself was the culprit.
If I had known that it was about to go I would not have driven the car.
It looks like the bearings on the central shaft have given up - alot
of play in the shaft and the ends of the blades were bent. The funny
thing is that there were no giveaway sounds.
The guy that did the engine in my M5 is going to the manufacturer
next week to work on their SC kit for the E92 M3. He is going to
take the supercharger to them and either get it fixed or get
a new one.
