Question Will 205/50-15's fit on my stock rimmed E30 M3?

My car's tire size is 205/55-15 and I need to get some new tires. I was looking at the kuhmo ecsta supras, but there's a deal on kuhmo ecsta MXs and they're the superior tires. The problem is that they only have them in 205/55-15 size. I don't wanna be scrapin, will these work?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Wait, I'm confused. You mentioned 205/55/15's twice.

You can go with 225/50/15 or 205/55/15 for the stock wheels. Obviously the later is going to have less tread, which will hurt performance all around. The previous owner of my car had 205/50/15, very short sidewalled tires, which looked kind of funny, but it helped the acceleration of the car due to the gearing.

Oh, yeah, sorry, I meant that they only have the MXs in the 225/50/15 size. Thanks Bry, you don't think that there'll be any performance or compatability issues with 225/50/15s?

The 225/50/15 is a very common R-compound tire size on the stock 15" wheels. They won't rub, especially if you have the offset front control arm bushings.

Go with the 225/50/15, no doubt about it.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly, those tires have a lot more tread to put to the ground than the 205's. Let us know how you like the MX's!
