I kept wondering what the concept sketch in my signature was all these months. Turns out it's a revamp of the classic M1:

Here's the short article from <a href="http://www.motortrend.com/future/spied/112_0301_m1/">Motor Trend</a>.
It's not as impressive as I thought, since a new M5 with a 500hp 5.5l V-10 is slated or 2006. Now, that's power.

It's gonna be a hell of a ride...
I hope they come up with some more hp than what they mention.

From the looks of it I'm seeing a $100,000ish price tag so i couldn't give less of a damn...
A 2200lb 360hp I-6 would kick the shit out of a 500hp 4600lb M5...

Around the turns, too. Believe me, the M1 will be a work of art and a wonderful machine - doubt it if you like. Besides, the possibility of forced air on it could mean tremendous, ass-kicking horsepower gains if the need be. In such a lightweight car, the all-around performance will be astounding.
330ci ZHP + ZPP + ZCW - SilberGrau on Black Heated Leather - 6MT - Adaptive+Dynamic Xenons
328is ZPP - Black on Sand Leather - BBS RX - ZKWs
Subaru BG Outback 5MT - Blue/Gray - WRX Wheels + Altimax Arctics
Itll be under 2200 pounds guarnteed. With 400hp? Thats trumping the elise right there, thats pretty sick from a NA engine.
Also, two words: Big Six.

Oh yeah, The M1 is going to be so badass. I've got 3 years to come up with 100k? No problem.Originally posted by LinearX
